Sheetal Group embarks on massive tree plantation drive for environmental conservation

 It was like the ravishing beauty of nature spreading over the Herbal Garden located in the capital’s Punjabi Bagh West area when the Sheetal Group organised here a massive day-long tree plantation drive on September 20. With this Sheetal Group, an industry leader in the manufacturing of world-class water storage tanks, chemical tanks, pipes as well as in solid waste management category has embarked on a truly commendable journey to save the earth.

The campaign christened ‘Plant A Tree, Save Environment’ was lead by Mr. Bharat Aggarwal, Managing Director, Sheetal Group. Mr. Kailash Sankhla, Deputy Mayor, SDMC was the Chief Guest at the occasion which also witnessed the participation of hundreds of citizens. More than two thousand tree saplings were planted at this location that remains shrouded in a heavy cloud of pollution throughout the year.

Kick-starting the green initiative, Mr. Bharat Aggarwal said, “We felt an urgent need to revive the environment of Punjabi Bagh which is considered as one of the most polluted areas of Delhi. It’s all about planting more and more trees to save the mother earth and Sheetal Group is committed to the cause” “Sheetal Group is committed to following environment-friendly best practices in its manufacturing units and we have taken up this initiative to deliver a message to a wider audience regarding the importance of environment conservation,”   he added.

 “We should always remain conscious of our responsibility towards nature. Tree plantation is the best gift one can offer to the mother earth. I look forward to widespread praise and success of this most admirable campaign,” added Mr. Kailash Sankhla.
